Further exploration of "slipperiness" and other metaphoric properties was the goal of this project, but in a three-dimensional medium. Collections combines the idea of the metaphorical properties of a container--anything that can hold something--and an object--how well it fits within a container.

My exploration is a highly tactile experience; photographs do not serve the project justice. The fitment of the green-shag object into its base container is a deliberately slippery, loose fit where the object can easily glide and slide within the container. Upon eagerness to feel the object's inviting texture, the viewer immediately notices this fitment, and will, essentially, play with this movement.

It is then apparent that the object is removable; quality construction supports this idea. When removing the object, there are several experiences the viewer can investigate, as can be seen in the photographs.

Overall, my collections project is a highly stimulating experience that evokes numerous thoughts and past experiences in the mind of the viewer.
